VirtualBox is a general purpose application for setting up and running virtual machines. In COMPSYS 202 / MECHENG 270 you will be using it to run an emulation of a computer with Ubuntu installed.
This allows you to utilise a Linux environment inside your existing Windows or OS X operating system.
1) Click on the following link to open the download website in a new tab: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
2) Select either "Windows Hosts" or "OS X Hosts" to download the installer for your current operating system.
3) Follow either the Windows or OS X video below to install VirtualBox.
